Power Mac G4 Cube is a very compact Macintosh desktop computer from Apple. It was sold in 2000 and 2001. 8 in x 8 in x 8 in cube suspended in a 10 inch tall clear acrylic case. The Mac cube has a PowerPC G4 processor (450 to 500 megaertz). The cube uses a vertical slot loading DVD-ROM / CD-RW drive.
The cube uses a separate monitor with either an ADC or VGA connection powered by an upgradeable video card in a standard AGP slot. There is no room for full-length video cards. Two FireWire ports, and two USB ports
The Cube uses a silent,convection-based cooling system like the iMacs with no fan needed
To open the cube you use a handle on the back to pull the computer out of the clear plastic case. The computer slides out and the various parts can be replaced on three of the four sides around the cube
