The Mac cube has a PowerPC G4 processor (450 to 500 megaertz). The cube uses a vertical slot loading DVD-ROM / CD-RW drive.

To open the cube you use a handle on the back to pull the computer out of the clear plastic case. The computer slides out and the various parts can be replaced on three of the four sides around the cube
